Quotes
I was objectively and unequivocally one of the best they had.
-On his past as an Intelligence officer
I’ve become very good at becoming anything, torturing or killing people and making it look like I didn’t do it.
-On being "one of the best they had"
I was dead to myself after a while, became a very efficient machine unable to think beyond the job and despised who they made me become.
-On the effects of being “one of the best they had”
Unfortunate opportunities to degenerate in a stench of corruption that assaults my nostrils every time I am in town.
-On trips to Washington D.C.
Not for me. I have spent so much time studying, dissecting human behavior so that I could become a myriad of characters when needed on the job, I have become incompetent at real human interactions.
-On marriage
I tend to be a bit irrational when it comes to her. I've known her too long and just can’t fight the feeling. As a little girl, she saved me from myself and kept me from slipping in a very dark place with no chance to return. She has that kind of effect on people; she is just not aware of it…
-On Laura Armitage
She was about... two hours old, sleeping in her mother's arms. Then she became a big chunk of my daily life when...
-On the first time he met Laura
He's certainly excellent at what he does, a little too emotional for his own good, sometimes, but he's as decent as they come. It's just that... well, he's Laura's commanding officer, and... He perhaps shouldn't forget that.
